Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 February 2026
1. About TKKT
TKKT ("we", "us", "our") is an event ticketing platform operating at tkkt.co.za. We provide tools for event organisers to create event pages, sell tickets, and manage check-ins. We do not charge platform fees to organisers or ticket buyers.
2. Using TKKT
By using TKKT you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old to create an organiser account. You may browse events and purchase tickets without an account.
3. Organiser Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for delivering your event as described.
- You must provide accurate event details (date, venue, price, capacity).
- You are responsible for collecting and remitting any applicable taxes.
- You must not list events that are illegal, fraudulent, or misleading.
4. Ticket Purchases
- Payments are processed by the organiser's chosen payment gateway (currently Yoco, PayFast, or Paystack) and go directly to the organiser's account at that gateway. TKKT does not handle or hold funds.
- Refund policies are set by each organiser. Contact the organiser directly for refund requests.
- Each ticket includes a unique QR code for check-in. Do not share your QR code.
5. Cancellations
If an organiser cancels an event, they are responsible for issuing refunds to ticket holders. TKKT may assist by notifying ticket holders via email, but refund processing is between the organiser and their payment provider.
6. Prohibited Use
You may not use TKKT to:
- Sell counterfeit or duplicate tickets.
- Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from our platform.
- Interfere with the platform's operation or security.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
7. Intellectual Property
The TKKT name, logo, and platform design are our property. Event content (descriptions, images) remains the property of the respective organisers.
8. Limitation of Liability
TKKT is provided "as is". We are not liable for:
- Events that are cancelled, postponed, or not as described.
- Payment disputes between organisers and ticket buyers.
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from use of the platform.
- Temporary downtime or service interruptions.
9. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate organiser accounts that violate these terms, list fraudulent events, or are inactive for an extended period. We will notify you by email before termination where possible.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of TKKT after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will note the date of the last update at the top of this page.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
